*This recipe is from the Dream Dinners cookbook. You can freeze the (raw) steak in the marinade for up to 3 months. Just put the steak in the marinade, freeze and thaw in the fridge when you are ready to use.
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
½ teaspoon chili powder
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ cup honey
1 cup soy sauce
½ cup red wine
1 ½ pounds flank steak
In a large bowl combine all the ingredients except the steak. Pour the marinade into a resealable freezer bag. Place 1 ½ pounds of flank steak into the bag. Marinate the steak in the refrigerator overnight. Preheat the broiler or prepare hot grill. Remove the steak from the marinade and sear on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. Meanwhile, pour the marinade into a saucepan and boil over high heat for 5 minutes. Slice the flank steak into thin slices across the grain. Drizzle the marinade over the steak and serve.
