Pasta Sauce

1 large chopped onion
3 cloves garlic
29 ounces fire roasted tomatoes
˝ teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/8 teaspoon sugar 

Cook onion in small amount of olive oil until soft.  Add garlic and sauté a few seconds.  Combine with other ingredients and bring to a boil.  Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

OR (Patty’s) 

Combine a large can of :
Tomato Sauce
Tomato Puree
Crushed Tomatoes

and add:
oregano, basil, garlic, minced onion, and a bit of sugar 

Bring to a slow boil, reduce heat and simmer on stove many hours.
