Guitar Lessons - Carolina Deason
Introduction to Guitar (ages 6 to adult) for students who have no prior
guitar experience and want to learn more about the guitar.
This class is a great way to learn the basics of guitar in a group setting
before moving on to private lessons. Topics covered- structure of guitar,
string/note names, chords, strumming, and reading music notes. Class is
conducted in a fun environment where students learn real songs they can play
for the family!
Classes meet for 45 minutes.
Location /Day / Time: The Homeschool Room in Matthews,
Tuesdays 2:30-3:15 and Thursdays 11:00-11:45
Cost: Monthly Fee of $60 plus 1 time book fee of $15
Material Needed: Guitar (any style guitar acceptable. Email me for
suggestions)
Private Guitar Lessons (ages 6 to adult) for students who want
one-on-one instruction in guitar. This class is great for kids and adults!
Each 30 minute private lesson is tailored to the learning level of the
student. Topics covered- structure of guitar, string/note names, chords,
strumming, and reading music notes.

can play for the family!

Times available Tuesdays 3:30-4:00 or 4:00-4:30 and
Thursdays 12:30-1:00, 1:00-1:30, 1:30-2:00

Teacher Profile: My name is Caroline Deason, a homeschool graduate and recent
graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
I am a worship leader at Community Fellowship Church in Matthews and work with
a local music ministry to develop a worship generation with
today’s youth. I have studied music for 14 years while playing the violin,
cello, drums, piano, and guitar. I am a classically trained
musician in the Suzuki method and have a love of teaching. I have played in
the Charlotte Junior Youth Orchestra (cello), string ensembles,
and performed in Raleigh, NC with Dove Award winning artist, Aaron Shust.
Piano Lessons by Michelle Sailer
I will be offering private piano lessons out of my apartment in the North
Charlotte area, starting in January.
I will be graduating from UNCC in December with a B.A. degree in music.
I have experience teaching piano and have studied piano pedagogy. I
have been taking lessons myself for 12 years, and it was a wonderful part
of my own homeschool experience growing up.
