Membership Requirements (revised 3/07)
PATH membership is open to families who:
| Home educate at least one child or have a pre-school child that will be home educated | |
| Abide by the North Carolina home school laws | |
| Pay a yearly membership dues | |
| Submit a signed membership application, a signed Release, Waiver & Indemnity Agreement and a signed Participation Policy | |
| Agree to and accept the policies stated within the PATH Member Handbook, Bylaws and Mission Statement |
Membership year for PATH shall be defined as a term from August 1st of one calendar year to July 31st of the following calendar year. Our membership drive will begin on May 1st of each year. Members will have the opportunity to participate in an Early Bird Registration period to receive a discount on the membership dues. Membership dues are not refundable.

Student ID / HomeSchool Teacher ID
Each student and at least one parent from all PATH families are required to obtain a Student ID and HomeSchool Teacher ID. There is no fee for the first set of PATH ID's, it is included in the annual membership dues. However if a replacement ID is needed see below for details. Many of the facilities that our group attends for field trips require official group ID's. The badge will be a attached to a lanyard. Below is a policy outlining the detail regarding PATH ID badges.

Families will be required to
supply a photo of each child enrolled in PATH. Photos should be emailed to
Robin Gagne (rgagne@carolina.rr.com)
as soon as your become a member of PATH. Please indicate in the email that you
are new to the group and attached at the required photos. No photos are needed for the HomeSchool
Teacher ID's. | |

The ID badges
will be required for each person attending a PATH field trip. If a dad,
grandparent or
guest attends a PATH field trip, the field trip coordinator will provide a
“Guest” ID badge, at no charge,
and it must be returned to the field trip coordinator at the end of the
outing. | |

If you forget
your badge, we will attempt to make arrangements for you to participate
without it. | |
|
Loss of an ID badge should be reported to Robin Gagne. A replacement fee $2.00 will be charged for lost, stolen or defaced ID badges. |
